Penguin Walk begins January 17, 2018!

Stand three feet from a king penguin and watch them waddle past right before your eyes. It’s the perfect opportunity to learn all about our ‘royal’ penguins in this unique experience that is completely FREE with general admission. Come as many times as you like and get to know who’s who waddling down the path. We’re always happy to talk about king penguin enrichment and conservation during your zoo visit.

The kings always have the final say.

Our king penguins are usually happy to join in the walk and the ones that aren’t will stay inside. The penguin walk is weather dependent—if it’s too windy or the weather drops to below -25˚C we will need to cancel the walk. Any cancellations due to poor weather will be posted on our website and social media channels by 10 a.m. the morning of.

Limited time offers don't last forever.

The first penguin walk will begin on January 17, 2018 and run until the middle of March—the official end date will be decided by the animal care team and posted on our website and social media channels.
